Merge Subscriptions order

Note - This feature is exclusive to the App Enterprise plan. Requires an upgrade to the Enterprise plan.

We’ve introduced the "Allow Merge Subscriptions" feature, enabling merchants to automatically merge multiple active subscriptions into a single order when eligible. This helps reduce shipping costs and simplifies order management.

_{✅ How It Works}

When this feature is enabled, the system automatically merges multiple active subscriptions for the same customer into a single order, but only if all conditions are met.

_{🔧 How to Enable}

1. Navigate to: Settings > General Settings
2. Locate the "Allow Merge Subscriptions" option: Tick the checkbox to enable it.

Once enabled, merging will occur automatically based on the rules below.

_{📝 Merge Conditions}

The system will merge subscriptions only if all the following conditions are met:

• The "Allow Merge Subscriptions" setting is enabled.
• The same customer has multiple subscriptions scheduled for the same date.
• All subscriptions must be in ACTIVE status.
• No subscription should have reached its maximum limit.
• All subscriptions must use the same payment method.
• All subscriptions must have the same shipping address, including:
  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Address Line 1
  • Country
  • City

  • ZIP

    
    
• If merged subscriptions have different shipping charges, the higher charge will apply.
• Prepaid subscriptions are not eligible for merging.

_{🏷 Tagging Merged Orders}

Merged subscription orders will be labelled with this tag: UT Merge Subscriptions

_{⚠️ Error Handling}

• If any error occurs during the merge process, the normal order process for each subscription will continue as usual.
• In case of a Shopify billing error during the merge, the merchant or customer must manually update the next billing date for each of the merged subscriptions.

_{📘 Example}

If subscriptions #789456102 and #456789132 are merged into subscription #123456789, then: All three subscriptions must have their next billing date updated manually.
