Some of my subscriptions can't get renewed. The error that shows up is "Payment provider is not enabled on the shop." Why is this happening?

Allow me to clarify that all renewals are currently being handled by Shopify. This involves our application sending a request to Shopify to charge the customer, after which Shopify processes the request and provides us with either a successful response or an error message.

The error message displayed indicates the response we receive from Shopify when attempting to charge the customer. The specific error "Payment provider is not enabled on the shop" suggests that a payment provider (such as Shopify Payments, Authorize.net, etc.) was previously enabled in your shop. The customer made their initial payment using this payment provider. Subsequently, you deactivated this payment provider from your Shopify store. When we initiated the charge, Shopify attempted to process it. However, due to the absence of the previously enabled payment provider, an error message was generated.

To address this issue, simply re-establish the connection with the payment provider that was previously linked to your store.
